Dual-Flush toilets allow users to decide whether to use more or less water for each flush: potentially saving up to 30 % more water than with a 1.6 gpf unit. Users select either a “light ” flush for liquids or a “heavy” flush for solids. The savings is determined by taking an average of 3 flushes (2light and 1 heavy) and comparing water use to the 1.6 gpf standard.

MaP testing has confirmed that the American Standard FloWise Dual-Flush HET is one of the best performers at in solid waste removal, easily flushing up to 900 grams or more than two pounds quietly and cleanly.
